Viscose Rayon Challis Import

This is the same fabric we use to make all our rayon garments from Bali. You often see Hawaiian shirts and ladies' wrap skirts made out of this. It's ideal for clothing because it drapes well and is soft to the skin after washing. Because viscose rayon is pure cellulose (Maybe made from pine trees), it takes Procion dye very well - brilliant colors. The black version is dischargeable. Usually, it comes out on the tan side with our Discharge Paste or Color Remover, and on the rust side with bleach, but this can very from batch to batch and you should always test!

Fabric Details

• 100% Rayon, Available Optically Whitened or Black
• Optic White is 4 oz per square yard, 55" wide, Black is 4.5 oz per square yard, 58" wide
• Thread count of the Optic White is 98 x 61 threads per inch, Thread count of the Black is 86 x 44 threads per inch
• We found that Optic White shrinks 17% in Length and 2% in Width, Black shrinks 14% in Length and 6% in Width: Disclaimer
• Available in cut yardage, bulk discounts levels at 10+ yds. and in bolts
• Optic White is available in 30 yard bolts, Black is available in 35 yard bolts
• Hand wash strongly recommended

Remember, bolts vary! They can be over or under - we charge you for the actual yardage. If you need very specific yardage, order cut yardage.
