"Now who is who?"

We were asked that quite a bit in the beginning.  Sosi and Zora Designs "Initial Collection" is a result of my efforts to create an individual look for my twin girls and to help friends and family know "who is who."

After resigning from my teaching position, I thought long and hard about what I wanted to "be" in the few quiet hours of the day when I am not on duty as a mother. Some of the happiest moments in my life have been those when I am surrounded by my art materials and am creating something. Starting my own line of individualized baby and toddler tops seemed the perfect fit.  Five months after the girls, Sosi and Zora, were born, Sosi and Zora Designs was born.

Each top is a labor of love. I love the process of designing and painting the top, knowing that it will be worn. I like the ability to custom create each  top because it feels personal. It allows me to take my time as an artist, and although I hope to be able to help support our family, it is also important for me to stay true to my style of artwork, and to give each customer something truly special and unique. I love Dharma Trading for the products it carries. I use Jaquard Neopaque paints and the Loew Cornell silk brushes.  I like the detail I am able to get with these brushes; they hold their shape after MANY uses, and they don't shed bristles. I like the paints for the brightness and mixibility of the colors. I always order online, and the shipment is usually to my door in MD 2 days later.
