Cotton isn’t the only thing to creatively dye with the dyes from Dharma. I own and operate a small carding mill and have dyed exclusively with their Acid Dyes for the last 6 years. The colors are vibrant and I take the dyed fiber and blend it into beautiful roving and batting for hand spinning and felting. I’m also a knitting designer. With the handspun yarn, I create unique garments and market the patterns. Many times it is the way the roving comes off the carding machine that inspires a particular project. Two recent projects are a knitted swirl skirt and a butterfly shawl.
