My name is Ann L. Scott and I am a fiber artist and quilt maker in San Diego, California. I have been using Dharma products for many years (remember Deka Silk!). I'm using Jacquard Textile Colors now and loving it! I began painting pima cotton for the skies in my landscape quilts (as well as the water and now other elements). I continue to do that as well as create sky fabric for others to purchase and use in their own fiber art pieces. I began quilt making about 20 years ago and have taught children in elementary schools and adults in local quilt shops and in workshops for quilt guilds. Many of my pieces have been donated to groups for fundraising purposes.
At first look my pieces appear contemporary but they are constructed as early quilt makers would have done – hand appliquéd and hand quilted. Some of my pieces have received awards and honors; one has even travelled to parts of the United States, Austria and France.
I'm now primarily a studio artist…everyday at artistic play!
