Product Description

Give these fantastic silk paints from France a try (or as a gift!), and enjoy even more savings with this Starter Set.

Setasilk silk paints are so thin that they act like a dye, which makes them perfect for the Serti Technique on silk with non-toxic water based resists. You can use salt and alcohol with them for special effects, just like you can with dyes. They are also good on most fabrics for watercolor technique, hassle free tie dye, spray designs, batik, and Sun Painting (also known as Heliographic art).

Just Iron to fix. Non-toxic!

Contains 10 - 45ml (1.5 oz) bottles - a complete pallet of the most popular colors (Primary yellow, Tangerine, Hermes Red, Raspberry, Gitane blue, Turquoise, Oriental Green, Iris Violet, Chestnut and Ebony)

Although there is new packaging the manufacturer still has a lot of the old packaging left. The same colors are in the kits you just might receive a different outer package design. Both are featured in our photo section.

Made in: FRANCE (FR)

I dyedpainted twelve scarves for Christmas gifts. I thought the colors were beautiful. They blended and fused to my satisfaction. I didn't need to set the colors with heat but I did.

Easy to use with an acceptble range of colors to start with. The bottles have a fold-over spout that allows you to squeeze drops (or a stream) but can get messy unless wiped clean. Good product - responds to salt and alchohol just as advertised.

The colors are beautiful. I gave this only three stars because it certainly isn't for beginners. I had the paint everywhere before I knew it. Its very runny doesn't apply like I thought it would. Maybe a warning for someone not familiar with this product? I have dyed many things but never with such a slippery product! But like I said the colors are incredible.

On 1242010 I did a review for this product that I only gave 3 stars. My first attempt wasn't very successful. Of course I placed the blame on the product. Not true the problem was with me. After reading about silk painting and watching many videos I have completely changed my mind. I've been dyeing silk scarves and couldn't be happier. Beautiful bright colors the paint is so smooth and easy to use. Give this a try even if you are a newbie. Lovin' it!

Wonderful! This is a great little set that I'd highly recommend to anyone. While the colors offered are an interesting selection they do blend perfectly well to create new colors assuming you have some color mixing skill. Warning: can be addictive as the results are gorgeously vibrant and you'll finish one project and begin thinking "What if" and off you go again!

I had ordered the Seta color for sun painting and received the Seta silk instead. Kept it anyway to try it out but still prefer the Seta color.

Colors from hot to pastel if thinned with water. Used to paint silk scarves. Heat setting with an iron worked very well.

Super easy to use. We painted 12 scarves 52" long and 16 scarves 72" long and still have more than half the dye left.http:www.nanettesays.com20121024these-beauties-make-great-gifts
