For stretching your silk in to allow painting. Many silk painters consider these to be the best. The 3 very fine prongs hook onto the silk hem and a rubber band is used to stretch between the other end and your frame.

Great for suspending silk from your stretcher bars! Leaves just tiny holes that disappear once the silk is washed and ironed. I used to use safety pins and rubber bands but these hooks are better. Just don't sink them into your fingers...they are sharp!

I have gone back to these hooks, yet do not like the occasional hole they leave in the edge of the scarf. They also can become stress/ fatigued and will break at where the rubber band places tension.

I have been using these for quite some time. Thye don't last that long. THey tend to bend and break. BUt they work well.

These things are awesome. One pack was just enough for me to suspend a 5x6 foot piece of silk for a wedding canopy, although I propbably could have used more. I used them first in a silk painting class and couldn't settle for anything less after that.

Really a big help.they eliminate the"circles"left when using the tacks, and enables you to paint to the selvage witout any interference,and enables you to stretch the silk in a shorter time. I really loved them!!!
