Product Description
This book is recommended by Dharma!
We are happy to introduce this great new tie-dye book for beginners and groups. It contains over 20 different patterns with easy to follow step-by-step instructions written by Sulfiati Harris, who was also the author of Rainbow Tie-Dye, formerly our best selling tie-dye book, but now out of print. Dharma has included our own recipes so that folks buying our Tie-dye kits don't get confused. This book has great color photographs that really show you some of the steps as well as the end product. It is a great bargain, as we are selling it for the same price as our old Rainbow Tie-Dye book, but it is bigger, more colorful and better! This is now the book we will be including with our larger Group Tie-Dye Kits (50/100 shirt kits).
The book illustrates tie-dye on 100% cotton tee shirts, but can be done on any white clothing or fabric made of natural fibers. It tells you exactly what you need, how to do it, with a great Trouble Shooting section, as well as Dharma's own special instructions for tie-dying in large groups - what else you need, and how to do the math so you have enough dye!
8.5"x11", soft cover, 18 pgs., color photos.

Excellent book for beginners. Not very long (or pricey) but it also doesn't overwhelm you with so much information that you don't even know where to begin.

A good starting book for anyone looking to learn a few tie-dye tricks.

This is a very short book, more like an extended leaflet. Some of the recommended methodology is a bit laborious; there are easier ways to do some things. For example, it really works better to fold and tie water-dampened items and THEN soak in soda ash. Otherwise you have to wrap rubber bands or string with gloves on, which is difficult! BUT the pictures and the design ideas are great! Online resources are great, but it's nice to have something you can grab and flip thru. I have used it a good deal.

Great book! My 7 grandchildren (ages 6-18) studied the book before they tie-dyed some awesome T-shirts.

Worth a try, even first timers can have a great experience. We had never tie dyed and pulled off a wildly successful event for 200 kids. Good tips and examples.

some of the patterns are hard to understand the folding technique. I showed them to other adults as well, and we still could not figure out what they were talking about.

Loved this book! Gave basic instructions as well as the different "twisting" methods. I loved the fact that they actually show the end result so you have any idea of waht the final outcome should look like.

No real instructions or directions on how to do anything. For the price it is not worth it at all.
