Product Description
Finally, something affordable to melt wax in! This little melting pot is great for those projects where you don't need pounds of melted wax. It has a variable heat setting so you can melt different types of wax, and keep them liquid without burning them. It is deep enough to easily fill batik pens and tjanting tools, and holds enough wax to finish a few projects. Great for brush work also.
This melting pot works great with all types of wax. Perfect for Soy Wax (#SOYW) and Bees Wax Pellets (#BWP) where you can easily measure out small portions. A bottle of Bees wax melts in 5 minutes.
Use the insert Melting Pot Project Pans (#MPPP) if you want to melt different types of wax and just store the cooled wax in the pans. You can also use these to melt soap, candy, glue and more. Very handy!!!
  • Holds roughly ½ cup of liquid (about ¼ lb. of wax)
  • Optimum temperature control
  • Temperature setting can be set to 100-300°
  • Non-stick surface for easy cleaning
  • Large handles for easy lifting and pouring
  • Built ergonomically for maximum comfort
  • Three-footed base provides stability
  • Rapid, even melting of many craft mediums
Made in: CHINA (CN)

Doesn't get wax hot enough or hold enough wax for traditional batik tools

This is such a great size. I use it for batik work. I melt Soy Wax in it. Small enough that it doesn't take up too much space on my table but big enough tray to hold a good amount of wax!

Love my melting pot, I do wish it was deeper and have a place to put the tools to heat up

This pot is a great solution to the issue of melting substances in small quantities that also may need to be stored if not completely used up. It works exactly as advertised, and was well-worth the investment for me.

I've been using the melting pot for soy wax batik so I'm using the low part of the temperature range. The temperature adjustment is good enough that I can select for the viscosity I want. I look forward to using it with traditional wax blends at higher temperature.

This is awesome! No more running back and forth to the double boiler for hot wax.

So far so good after using it 2x. The temp regulator seems to be accurate.

Very shallow pan, great for working soy wax for use with brushes but, not deep enough to fill a tjanting. Dropped a soft cover book off the book shelf above it and the not well fitting plastic cover shattered. Doesn't effect what it does and it heats and holds temp well.

I had to come back to this site many months later to say how much I appreciate my melting pot. I've tried hot plates and electric frying pans, but this is the only product that has given me the consistent temperature for batik. The size of the pot, though small, is large enough for tjantings and brush work. It also has different trays that you can switch out for different types of wax. Love it!!!!

I assumed that it would have a removeable pan, but the pan is stationary, and you drop in project pans if you want to use it for different media, which means that the original pan is not useable in that event. I thought it was over-priced.

Too shallow and should only use wax pellets if you want a quick melting time.
