Permanent on Fabrics!
Identipen Fabric Pens are dual point pens with a tough fiberfine point on one end and an extra fine tip for details on the other. Withstands the roughest of treatment yet can provide the most delicate touch on silk. The ink is really permanent not only on fabrics, but on metal, glass, plastic, leather, wood, photos, ceramics, and more. It spread less on silk in our tests than other pens. Has a slight odor.

I use these to write on my fabric tags for my quilts. They do not bleed too much and the color stays bright even after washing. I did not need to heat set it.

ok wow. these are great nice crisp lines not a lot of bleeding and if you combined them with a flow stop you will have no bleeding at all. The colors stay bright and deep. The do not fade or wash out. You can't go wrong with these pens.

I've been purchasing some markers/paint pens in different brands to test them out & see if they will become a staple to the collection of items I use on my Hand Painted Shoes.

Recently, I had a pair of patent leather heels to paint for a bride. I tested the black pen out as an outliner before I started & it seemed to be perfect. I loved it b/c I had more control than with an actual paint pen. Everything was done & I sprayed a gloss finish on the shoes.

When I checked the shoes the next morning, the Identipen outline BLED & RUINED THE SHOES! I had to email the bride & tell her there would be a delay & give her options for how I could fix them. I am SO disappointed with this pen! Not only do I have to spend extra time - that I don't have - re-doing these shoes, but there is a possiblility of word getting around that I've had issues with the quality in my work due to this damn pen.

I even heat-set the shoes several times (at LEAST 8)! I will not be purchasing Identipens for leather in the future.

These markers were exactly what I needed. I produce hand dyed silk scarves and needed a fine pointed pen to sign them, these work outstandingly well. They bleed very little and give a very crisp line, especially on the heavier weights of silk (like the Charmeuse).

Great for designing. How about some gold and silver metallic for signatures?

Colors are good, but I'd also like some gentler colors for signing my pastel scarves. I don't like the signature to stand out so dramatically.

There is a problem with the description here. Sakura, the maker of the pens, says they are "not recommended for use on fabrics intended to be washed." This is important and your description is misleading. The pens are fine, but I don't get the sense that the marks will stay for long.
