Stamping - History

As far back as 3000BC Stamps and seals have been used. Seals were the most common, used during a time which oral and written communication was difficult. A person could use their seal, which would commonly come from a ring or a hand stamp to sign important documents. Stamps and seals have been made from a variety of materials such as wood, stone, bone and metals. Today such stamps and seals are most often made from rubber.
