These did not work at all when stretching/suspending silk. They don't hold tightly enough when any stretch is put on the scarf, so they pop off.

I've used rubber bands to attach them to my PVC frame for dyeing fabric, & they work pretty well. Since they don't grip over a large surface, the dye can get to all parts of the fabric.

These might work for cotton or thicker fabric but did not grip silk well.

they are easy to use but leave a small crimp mark in the color that is noticable to me - i will try to clip less scarf but like the claw better.

If I am doing an all over dye pattern, these clips occlude a section of silk edge and if one forgets to dye that area, you have a WHITE area that has to be 'doctored' after the fact.
