Product Description
If the 12mm CREPE DE CHINE scarves are the "Mercedes", here are the "Rolls Royces" of the scarf world! These are heavier also - 16.5 mm. By stone (sand) washing this heavier weight of Crepe de Chine, one gets a matte silk with a very soft, luxurious drape and a buttery suede feel. You won't want to ever remove them from your neck! This is the one that is perfect for the more sophisticated man or woman in your life. Artists, you can make a wonderful high end product by putting your artwork on these! These have hand rolled hems with 100% silk thread. Ready to dye and paint!

We recommend, especially if you are re-selling, to pre-wash in Hot water and Synthrapol or our Professional Textile Detergent, all silk before dyeing or painting to remove any leftover residue from the silk worms (Seracin) or finger prints and other stuff that can cause the fabric to dye unevenly. Our product Milsoft is excellent for restoring the soft hand to silk after dyeing.

These are one of my favorite and best scarves. The hand rolled hem makes the hand feel even better. The machine hem takes away the high quality feel. Great for dying and has a creamy soft touch. We need to keep the hand made scarves in stores and producing .

This is beautiful silk! It took the dye wonderfully and has a lovely matte finish. My only wish is that it came in a 44x44 size!

Uneven dyeing that was not 100% camouflaged by resist stitching. Since this is an expensive scarf, I was disappointed with the results.

My absolute favourite of all the silk scarves to dye. The fabric is so buttery and meaty. They took the wax well, penetrating quickly with minimal spread. I hope to sell these as a luxury item.
