 8/1/2008 It is important to wait 24 hours before applying this product. If you use a resist I would apply by brush only on the dye and not the resist and then rinse.

 10/25/2011 I was very skeptical at first, but this worked very well to minimize class time for the final process. I was warned that some color may be not as bright as steaming, but that wasn't noticeable to any of us.

9/29/2012 Dyeset fixative works with not only premade acid dyes, but works to set procion mx dyes when vinegar is added to make them an acid dye. The process is the same as for a regular acid dye, paint or apply, let dry, then fix according to directions. I have found that the longer the piece dries the better the results, although I have fixed a piece after drying with a hair dryer with excellent results. This saves a ton of money for those of us who already have lots of procion mx around! As always Dharma products are excellent.

 9/25/2012 I find that this allows a lot of color to wash away, leaving my pieces not at all as bright as steaming. Fine if you want a subtle, pastel look.

12/11/2012 I found that some of the dye bleeds off when the silk is immersed, and still bleeds when rinsed. I am a little disappointed by this product.
