Product Description
Use this liquid fixative instead of steaming to set your Jacquard Silk Colors. Can also be used with Sennelier Tinfix Design Colors.

Add about an ounce (2-3 tablespoons) of Dyeset per quart of cold tap water. Prepare about 3 Quarts per 45" square of fabric. Immerse the fabric in the fixative bath and stir for about 5 minutes, then rinse fabric in container with liquid soap and running water.

It is important to wait 24 hours before applying this product. If you use a resist I would apply by brush only on the dye and not the resist and then rinse.

Colors work well. Wish they would come with a squirt top and a connected cap, or send extra little red tips because they get lost easy.

I was very skeptical at first, but this worked very well to minimize class time for the final process. I was warned that some color may be not as bright as steaming, but that wasn't noticeable to any of us.

A selling point on my rust dyed and silk painted scarves is that I have used a color fixative on them. Customers like to hear they don't have to worry about colors running or loosing the vibrant colors they like so much. I won't work without it. I can color fix a rust dyed scarf and then paint over that and fix it again for beautiful results.

The dye set has been good at keeping the dye from bleeding out, which is what it's supposed to do. Thanks for a great product
