Use these for storing and applying liquid dyes. Perfect for tie-dye! Occasionally, since these are inexpensive and mechanically mass produced, some will come in that leak around the threads. Plumber's tape, that thin white stretch stuff that is .50 - .60 ¢ at any hardware store or other place with some irrigation supplies, is a quick easy fix - a couple of wraps around the threads works like a charm - no tie-dyer should be without it!
Bottles include 1 yorker spout w/ tiny red cap (tiny red caps are not available for separate purchase) but we can substitute 1 white screw-on cap instead by request.

I'm always trying to find the perfect bottles. These aren't perfect, but they're better than anything else I've found.
When mixing dye, I spoon the powder into a funnel and then pour the water thru it. This is actually cleaner than spooning directly into a wide-mouth bottle.

These bottles will leak if you squeeze them too hard--if that's a problem cut the spout to make it a little wider.

I like the 8oz. size (or smaller). The bigger ones (16oz. & up) are stiffer and harder for me to work with. They are made out of a different stiffer plastic material that I don't like.

I've had problems with the leakage, too, so it's good to read the solutions. However, don't try to put the powder in the squeeze bottles. Just buy a set of pint canning jars, make the dye liquid in them, and pour what you need into the squeeze bottles. I have the canning jars labeled with the colors and store the dye in them when we're not actually tie-dying. Works great!

only 1 in 12 leaked from the neck-good odds! Yorkie caps came stacked together and had some difficulty getting red tips unplugged from inside tips.

These are my favorite bottles to apply dye with. I recently tied with 25 Elementary kids and bought several of these to use. However, I wish you had a wide mouth bottle with a spout, to keep my concentrates in, but still be able to apply dye right out of the bottle.

They are AWESOME!!! They work perfect! I have a whole bunch of the 16 oz. bottles and a few of the 32 oz. I use them for tie dye events with kids and they work great. Some of the tips of the caps come out faster than others; I buy extra tops for this reason, in case I want the dyes to come out faster or slower.

A must for tie-dyeing IMO! I find I do have to cut off a bit from the tip of the spout or the opening is just too small.

These are nice bottles and if you really tighten them they won't leak. It's hard to get the dye powder in them. The funnel idea works well but it would be nice to have a long, skinny measuring spoon that would fig through the opening.

Great bottles for liquid and some dry dye powders. Easy snip tips give you the size opening you need/want. Soft squeezable plastic sides.

Since these bottles were made for paint, I was very disappointed that the lids leak. I called Dharma and was told to put some tape on the threads before putting the lids on. They still leaked. They aren't very useful this way.

Great all-around equipment. Easy to lose the caps. Best to use a syringe for the middle of spirals as these put out too much dye.

The caps/spouts, leak when they are being used. Dye comes out from the side of the caos, This happens on 4 of the tops.

These bottles worked well to mix up a concentrate of the dye, but were not "squeezy" enough for the kids to use on the shirts. I mixed the concentrated dye once and then kept refilling my smaller bottles. So they were very helpful in that regard.

Some of the spouts had very tiny holes that when you squeezed the bottle, it caused dye to leak from the seal between the cap and the bottle. I will check each cap in the future and make the hole is big enough.

I wish the opening on these bottles was a bit bigger. I use them for making dyes and the powder makes a mess in the narrow opening...otherwise excellent for squirting dye on my projects
