Used with the silk painting Serti Technique, these are most beautiful metallic water based resists that actually prefer to be steamed for fixing. Ironing works also, but not as well in our experiments. This makes it a great water based product to use with professional French dyes instead of metallic Guttas. It doesn't quite have the same look, but it won't flake off over time like metallic guttas can. Silks with this resist on can be dry cleaned, whereas with metallic Gutta on, they can't. No nasty fumes, non-toxic. Cleanup with warm water instead of solvent! As with all water based resists, be more careful not to flood the lines with too much dye.

I used this product on a silk scarf. Beautiful result. It is more liquid than a metallic Gutta which needed some experimentation. I ended up using the finest metal tip available! - Also, I noticed that little is better than too much. Some lines (through my own inexperience in the product) got a little bit too thick ... leaving after steamsetting ... a touch that can be felt.
But overall: this is definitely the product I shall use in the future. No hesitation whatsoever. Beautiful!

While demonstrating silk paining outdoors under large tents with 200 other craftspeople, the resists worked well as always, even under rainy condidtions.
