Product Description
Bamboo rayon fleece is softer than a baby chinchilla, and that is about as soft as it gets! One side is chinchilla soft fleece, while the flip side is a smooth knit with a nice sheen to it. Needs gentle washing to reduce pilling. Bamboo rayon has many desirable properties, among them excellent absorbency and possible bacterial inhibiting properties. A great fabric to sweat in! Also, it is a sustainable resource, easy and fast growing, needing no pesticides or chemical fertilizers or excesses of water. Our agent for this fabric personally is able to travel to China and make sure the workers operate in a well maintained, healthy and safe environment, are treated with respect, paid fairly and have health insurance, sick and maternity leave benefits, etc.

This is the softest most buttery-thick natural fabric I've ever seen. Took my Fiber Reactive dye with super intensity. Absolutely wonderful texture after washing and it did NOT lose the softness factor...must have more.

Wow. Made a pair of yoga pants. So so so soft. A bit heavy compared to cotton sweatshirt material but much nicer.

Very soft lovely material. I don't care for the sheen on the flat knit side but otherwise I was happy with it. Bamboo takes dye very nicely as well. Thank you!

I made a cowl necked pull-over out of it. It is soft warm and wonderful to wear in the winter! This fabric takes much more dye than others - so be prepared. I hade to make more in the middle of my project. It also takes longer to dry. I'll definitely use it again.

This is VERY dense fabric after washing. Seam allowances are nearly unmanageable when you try to serge or fold and topstitch. However the raw edges don't ravel at all. After prewashing cut edges are much more stable than I'm used to on knits which usually need some sort of coaxing to lie flat and unobtrusive. The seams when ironed flat stay down perfectly so the seam finishing problem isn't really much of an issue though I suspect I"ll have to hit it with an iron after every laundering. The mechanical stretch is minimal so keep that in mind when making this up into designs that rely on stretch knits to get the garment on over the head or bust. Fortunately it's stable enough that it will take a zipper nicely. It's extremely warm nearly unwearable in a typically heated room.I cut the pattern pieces for a top and then dyed them (trying to do a more or less successful ombre) with the procion Raspberry dye. The raw edges held up perfectly to the stress of dying and washing and the colour was really extreme. The bamboo emphasized the red tones and lost the purple so the garment is a shocking radio active bubble gum pink. Not sure how it would react to other colours but I suspect it will consistently pick up a different palette than cotton or silk.

Shrinks a lot and is super absorbent so you will need to rinse this more than you would have to rinse other fleeces but there is NOTHING like this fabric against your skin. LOVE!!

Like sweatshirt material and very soft until washed. Pills terribly but I wanted it for diapering so I didn't wash it gently and I didn't care about the pilling really. Unfortunately it sticks together when wet so it didn't absorb the way I wanted. Would make a great sweatshirt though.
