Angelus Leather Dye is a permanent liquid dye used for changing the color of all smooth leather articles. This dye is guaranteed to penetrate leather and form a lasting color which will not peel, crack, or wash off. Excellent for use in manufacturing or re-coloring saddles, tack, shoes, belts, purses, wood, etc.

Note: Color 507 has additional ingredients that allow the dye to penetrate hard and/or difficult leathers.

Each bottle of dye comes with one Wool Dauber

Directions:

Before dyeing, remove any dirt or existing finish by using Angelus Preparer and Deglazer. To clean, dilute, or mix leather dye colors, use Angelus Dye Reducer Solvent. Apply two coats of dye evenly with wool daubers. After dyeing, use one of the three different Angelus Acrylic finishes. Allow 4-8 hours to dry before wearing any dyed article of leather. For smooth leather only.

Note: The Angelus Dyes can have a bright green metallic look to the leather when to much is applied. This is called the "Bronzing effect" and is caused by an excess amount of pigment. The solution to this is to saturate a rag or cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and wipe down the leather. This should restore the leather to the look of the dye color.

This dye works very well. I diluted it with denatured alcohol from Lowes and was able to lighten it up. I make doll clothes and match colors.

After a rough winter wrecked the color of my light brown boots, this dye turned them into a new pair of black ones. Easy to use!

Awesome, except the top on one was loose and some leaked out during shipment, but it was contained in the plastic bag.
