You can't tie-dye without the dye! Though you can use a variety of dyes to do tie-dye, our recommended and most popular is the Dharma Fiber Reactive Dye for all cotton, rayon, hemp and other plant fibers. (you can use it on silk, but some colors will shift) It's the one the professionals use and will put those low quality, over the counter dyes to shame. We also carry our Dharma Pigment Dye which is best if you need to plan to tie-dye with a group of small children and want to avoid chemicals and powders - the colors just won't be as intense and it isn't as cost effective. If you want to tie dye silk, you can use these products or any silk dye or paint that we carry.
