Product Description
This is the Rolls-Royce of silks. A muted crepe on one side and shimmery satin on the other. A two sided fabric that can be used with either the crepe or satin side facing. It has a firm, soft, supple hand and a luxuriously heavy drape. Dyes and paints will show an intensity of color and richness on this fiber. Enhances all types of painting techniques.
Fabric Details
• 100% Crepe Back Silk Satin (Charmeuse)
• 19.5 mm, 45" or 55" wide
• You can dye this with Acid Dyes
• Suggested usage; Great for clothing, especially wedding gowns, pajamas and robes etc.
• We found that this shrinks 8% in Length and 5% in Width disclaimer
• Available in cut yardage and 55 yard bolts for the CBSS55, 50 yard bolts for the CBSS45
• Machine wash in any temperature water

Remember, bolts vary! They can be over or under - we charge you for the actual yardage. If you need very specific yardage, order cut yardage.

This is possibly the most gorgeous and most luxurious fabric in existence. I adore this stuff, and it's <$10 a yard! If you want any kind of dressy fabric, I would recommend buying this, dyeing yourself, and using it. It is such amazing stuff.

I bought this to use in a crazy quilt...and it's perfect! I'd love to make a blouse out of it as well. So wonderfully soft and drapey.

Haven't yet pre-shrunk this fabric but I'd like to just wrap myself in it forever. Love itand the fact that the 19.5 mm satin fabric is available from your site.

Very dissapointed in the quality of this charmeuse. It does not hold the dye as well as other I have used in the past, and isn't as soft and shimmery. I was attracted to the low price, and ordered a lot, which was a mistake. My advice is to order a small quantity first and then see if is to your liking before placing a large order.

Absolutely beautiful silk. I've dyed some with indigo and some with madder. The results are stunning! I love the very fast shipping from dharma too.
