5/21/2008This is really a great simple easy to use dye that can be done just in your washing machine. The colors are vibrant on natural fabrics. I dyed a velour shirt and a cotton shirt with turquoise and the color turned out very vibrant and hasn't faded or bled at all. Just make sure you can keep resetting the agitate cycle!

5/14/2008I just used this to dye 2 pieces of Habotai silk AND a large piece of Hemp/Silk blend fabric all in the same dye-bath. They all turned out beautifully...soooo simple and and you have NEVER seen Chartreuse like this!!!! It's gorgeous and I swear it's so vivid you could see it from space!! I'm buying more. It's a great supplement to my dye stock. :)

8/19/2008I love the simplicity of this. With an inquisitive toddler underfoot, it's really, really nice to just be able to throw stuff into the washer! I initially had problems with colourfastness, but that seems to be fixed now that I got some of Dharma's dye fixative.

8/23/2011I used the iDye Polyester in blue and green on white socks. The blue came out as a royal blue and the green came out as a moss green. Would have liked deeper colors like in the Natural Fabric dyes.

8/2/2011Used the stove top method, but the garment weighed less that a pound, resulting in excess dye to rinse out many times. I attribute this to a first time dyeing experience. Will try dying a similar pair of cotton shorts, but will use half a packet, considering the 8oz garment weight.

8/1/2011It's the first time I've worked with dies and these are really easy to use, but I don't have anything to compare.

7/27/2011The dye worked very well and easily. The blue color was vivid and perfectly matched what I expected.

7/21/2011On silk, rayon, and cotton, the iDye Natural came out pale purple instead of black, even with a long simmer and soak. I was pretty disappointed. I know black is tough, but I thought, as long as it was a dark color, I'd be fine. Instead it's a pinkish lavender, on both unrelated fabrics. And on the silk, I was overdyeing already-black sik
