This stuff is a dream! Soft, breathable, dyes up beautifully -- plus, if it wrinkles, all you have to do is hang it in the bathroom while you shower and the wrinkles steam right out. I've used it for Ren Faire and other costuming projects, and it holds up quite well. The fabric does shed a little when washed the first few times, however, as bits of the nubby surface come off.

This stuff is wonderful for apparel-- breathable, cool in the heat, warm in the cold-- but wash it a few times before using and hang it outside because it STINKS initially!! Raw silk has a lot of seracin in it, and apparently, that smells like fish! I made the mistake of hanging it in my laundry room after washing and the whole house smells like fish. LOL, well, dye smells too so it's not like I was worried. Just be aware!

I thought the quality of the noil was not as good as that (I get from Thai Silks, but the newbies in the class liked it. For all I know it could be from the same wholesales origins.

For me, raw silk (silk noil) is not easy to find locally; luckily I have Dharma... you are the one place I can totally rely on to have exactly what I need and want and at an affordable price. Your service is always prompt and the material is exactly what I expect. One cannot ask for more. I will continue to purchase all my raw silk through you. Love the material and your service!

I am in LOVE with this fabric. I bought it for a class I was taking in natural dying and it dyed up great with the natural dyes. Would be great for a tablecloth!
